Hannah came home on Thursday - apparently it was an infection in the urinary tract (I have no idea if you have a specific name for this in english?). And as all girls/women know, it hurts like h*ll but will usually get better on its own with lots of fluids. That's what happened to H. Her grandma took a urine sample and got it tested at the local old folk's home (where hubby's grandparents live) because the local doctor's office wouldn't accept H there - she belongs to the office in OUR town, not where H's grandparents live. It was a 1+ for protein, and I called it in to our doctor's office, but they had to see her before prescribing antibiotics. With all the driving back and forth, we decided to give H another day at her grandma's to see if it got better on its own. And of course it did, so no doctor and no antibiotics for H this time!

We had a great weekend. For the first time in ages hubby wasn't working on saturday, so we went to the cinema with H for the first time in her life. We saw a swedish film about a little ghost called Laban. He's a scared little thing, afraid of the dark even though he's a ghost, and he's probably the least scary ghost around. His little sister, Labolina, is the brave one - she can imitate all sounds. :) Hannah loved going to the cinema, but thought the film was too short, so next time we'll go on a "real" film. Bee-movie, perhaps? The following link is swedish, btw, but try moving the cursor around a little, and you'll get pics from the movie and a "paint and print"-page. http://www.spoketlabanfilm.se/

After the film I met so many people I know I was stunned. For someone who's only lived here for 6 years, meeting six people I know on a saturday is shocking. And all six were people I KNOW not just people I'm acquainted with. I could've talked a long time with all of them, but with H and hubby there it just wasn't the right time. I guess working as a temp doesn't make many friends, just acquaintances...

On sunday I went shopping, all by myself. I was shopping for a pair of nice pants and some tops, and I know I only get stressed if the rest of the family is there when I want to try on clothes, and then nothing gets bought. Much better to go on my own! After trying on 9 pairs of pants, I finally found a grey pair with the perfect fit. Of course I found it in my regular store, not in any of the other ones I went to. Could've saved a lot of time if I went there first... Some new tops in great colors, and then I found a sailor jacket-type to wear to work. Gotta love the January sales! ;)

Oh and I forgot to post this on friday (but I did remember to e-mail):
Happy birthday, Angela! (=patternnuts)

I'm glad that Hannah is feeling better, though I am sorry she had to suffer through a urinary tract infection. I had a really bad one a few months back and they are NO FUN!
