The promised pics!

Sorry about the delay, but with school and all... The pics got too big for Blogger, so I've made the biggest pics links to Photobucket instead - in case you were wondering :)

This portemonnaie is for my niece Amanda, who's turning 13! I've now filled it with nail fixin' things, nail polish, file and such - I hope she'll like it. (Kinda hard getting a good picture of the gorgeous curves in this one.) I found the pattern on the web somewhere, if anyone wants it let me know, and I'll see if I can find it again. (Most likely a link from something on craftster.org - and it was a french blog.)

Barbie looking warm and cozy in her new winter (bath)robe:

Barbie's vest (yes, knitted by me - my own pattern too!)
Vest for Barbie

Vest from the back (who'd thought that Barbie would have too big a b*hind for her own jeans?!?)
Back of Barbie's vest

And finally, the bag I made for S' niece - it's actually a cat toy bag, can you tell? ;) This one made me understand why homemade bags are so expensive to buy - it took forever to sew with the fleece lining, but at least I've finally made a bag that can stand on it's own. Fabric courtesy of Ikea :)

Have a nice weekend, y'all!

I'm loving the Barbie clothes!!! LOL about her big ol' booty ;o) Great job on the bag, too. I'm trying to get up the courage to make myself another bag, but I've been putting it off for a while now.

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes! I really think that practical is more important than cute, but I like a combination of the 2. I'll post pics later of what I wound up making for her - I liked it enough that I'm making one like it for Ellie (but out of fabrics that better suit *my* tastes LOL!).

wonderful Barbie clothes! Where did you get the pattern for the robe? My girls have been bugging me telling me barbie needs more outfits, lol. Great job on the bag as well, no I cannot tell its a cat toy bag. :)

Heidi; I made up the pattern myself - or rather, I copied an existing robe that was in rags... (I had it when I was a little girl - seems so long ago now ;) ) Fleece is quite forgiving too, so it was easy to draw around the existing parts and wing it from there. :)

I could of course get a scan off the patterns I made, if it's any use to you?
